Code of Conduct for Examinations

1: Students are expected to be in their seats before the second bell. No one shall enter the hall after 30 minutes after the commencement of examination. No students can receive the question paper before taking his assigned seat in the hall.
2: No students shall be allowed to leave the examination hall before the expiry of at least half an hour after the issue of question paper.

3: Students shall not possess any unwarranted materials during the examinations. Mal practices in any form will attract severe penalty as prescribed by the Disciplinary Committee.

4: Borrowing any materials in the examination hall is strictly prohibited.

5: No paper other than the question paper shall be taken outof the examination hall.

6: Leave of absence from the examination will be allowed only on production of a proper medical certificate.

7: Roll number or Registration number, class and subject, and the title of the paper should be clearly written on the paper.

8: Additional papers can be collected from the hall supervisors in a formal fashion.

 

Scheme of Examinations.

In the semester, the evaluation of the progress of students is done by conducting Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) tests and the Semester examinations. Students shall have to appear for two internal assessment tests. No retest in any subject will be conducted under normal circumstances.
The internal assessment carries totally 25 marks viz 15 marks for the test taking the average of two test scores, 5 marks for assignment and 5 marks for seminar / interaction in the class room.
